In writing this week, we are learning how to write "friendly letters"(that's what our text book calls it). I'm not sure when they learn how to write the other kind of letter, but they are off to great start with the friendly kind!
The first letter is my fave for two reasons:
1. The kid who wrote it is my fave and he is not even in my class.
2. He loves his dad so much, that he burst into tears the last time his dad surprised him and came to eat lunch with him.
Letter number two is from one of my girls to her fourth grade brother's teacher.
Another one from letter writer number one! He loves everyone.
"Are you having a great year this week?"
What?
This next one is funny. He thought if he just scribbled, his teacher would think he wrote a long letter in cursive. She was not fooled by his trickery.
At first, I thought this next one said "Do you have a dog? or bunnies?" at the bottom.
But no. It says "are you nice?".
BTW this letter is to her Kindergarten teacher, so I guess she either can't remember if she was nice or she is wondering if she has turned nice yet...
Which letter is your favorite?
And by the way, Harry didn't write one because...he wasn't feeling it.
He did however, tell me today that my "behavior is unacceptable".
So that was nice.
